Syd Mead Tribute
Syd Mead was a highly influential industrial designer, respected concept artist and was well-known for his futuristic artwork created for both entertainment and real-world projects. Born on July 18, 1933, Mead's career spanned several decades. He became particularly famous for his work on iconic science fiction movies such as Blade Runner, Aliens and Tron.
His designs often featured advanced technology, sleek lines and a visionary look at future cities and vehicles. Beyond cinema, Mead also worked in the automotive industry, designing for companies such as Ford and Chrysler. He also contributed to a wide range of projects including architecture, video games and books. Mead's work had a profound impact on the visual language of science fiction and his designs have continued to influence artists and designers in many different fields.
Syd Mead is one my favorite artists and a regular source of inspiration. This project and these designs are my tribute to him.
